Winter's Passage is a great short story set in the world of The Iron Fey. I really enjoyed this short novella and I would definitely recommend reading it before starting on the second book in the series, The Iron Daughter.

Ash has come to take Meghan to the Winter Court, upholding their bargain. Meghan knows it will be dangerous but she cannot back out and is determined to be brave and survive. Before they go to the Winter Court, Meghan wants to see her best friend Puck. But while visiting Puck they do not realise that they are being followed, by something very dangerous. Will they make it to the Winter Court safely or are the destined to be torn apart before hand?

Winter's Passage picks up right where The Iron King left off with Meghan going with Ash to uphold her end of the deal. Yet again I was completely sucked into this dangerous world of the Fae and I ended up reading this in one sitting.
For a novella that is so short it is definitely fast-paced and action-packed and it sets up the storyline of the next Iron Fey book really well. It made me really excited to start The Iron Daughter and find out what is going to happen next.

Julie Kagawa is a fantastic author and she really hooks you to this world is just a few pages and has you sat with bated breath wondering what could possibly happen. Winter's Passage is definitely worth a read before The Iron Daughter. I can't wait to see what happens in the rest of this series and will definitely be reading The Iron Daughter next.
