Club Dead (Sookie Stackhouse #3)

Club Dead - Charlaine Harris

There's only one vampire Sookie Stackhouse is involved with (at least voluntarily) and that's Bill. But recently he's been kind of distant - like in another state distant. Bill's sinister and sexy boss Eric has an idea where to find him, which is why Sookie ends up in Jackson, Mississippi, mingling with the under-underworld at Club Dead. It's a dangerous little haunt where the elitist vamps can go chill and chow on some prime flesh. But when Sookie finally finds Bill - caught in an act of serious betrayal - she's not sure whether to save him, or sharpen some stakes.

I really loved this book.

Sookie is determined to find Bill, her vampire lover when he goes missing. She finds out that Bill lied to her about where he was going and who with and even tho she accepts he was going to betray her for his vampire lover form years ago she still keeps on saving him from whatever trouble he might be in. Teaming up with the very attractive werewolf, Alcide, Sookie travels to try and find bill, and ends up in the mysterious supernatural only club, Club Dead, where she hopes to find out some information about where he could be.

I loved Sookie in this book, she is such an amazing book heroine, she accepts that Bill betrayed her and yet she still stays strong and saves him.
I love Alcide, he is so sweet and amazing and i found myself wanting him and Sookie to get together. He's definitely one of my favourite characters in the series. I wasn't so sure about him at first but definitely fell for him more and more as i read more of the book.
I really found myself hating Bill in this one. He completely betrayed Sookie, both her feelings and her trust in him and then thought he had the right to be possessive over her and get angry at the thought of her being with another man. He really annoyed me when he started to call her HIS Sookie as i didn't think he had a right after he betrayed her like he did.

I am definitely hooked to this series and i can't wait to read the next book.
