After finishing the audiobook of The Golden Lily I couldn't help but download and start listening to the audio of The Indigo Spell. I had truly forgotten how much I adored the world that Richelle Mead has built in the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series. I have to admit that lately I have really gone off vampire books and I don't particularly enjoy them as much as other paranormal books. This series is the exception. With the mixture of the addictive storyline and Richelle Mead's phenomenal writing the Bloodlines series is without a doubt unputdownable.

Sydney finds herself torn between everything she has ever been taught and her heart. She can't ignore the wrongness of her feelings but at the same time she can't ignore her growing feelings for vampire Adrian. But when Sydney discovers some rogue Alchemists she realises that the cause she has always believed in may not be as great as she was taught. And that is the least of her worries when the group discover that there are young girls going missing without a trace. Something magical is happening and Sydney must discover how to stop it before someone she knows (or herself) falls victim to it.

The Indigo Spell really enraptured me. I couldn't stop reading (or listening). It was phenomenal and Richelle really knows how to capture her audience. With a mixture of heart-stopping action where the reader cannot wait to find out what is going to happen and breathtaking romance that makes the reader want them to finally get together. Either way it is very hard to put this book down.

Aiden is amazing in this installment. I loved him even more in this book and everytime he said that he would just keep on loving Sydney even if she didn't love him back it made you just want to hit Sydney upside the head and knock some damn sense into her.

The Indigo Spell was phenomenal. It is heartstopping and breathtaking. A must-read in which this series finally hits it's stride. I can see all these small things connecting together in which I know will be important in the next 3 books. I can't wait to follow this series to it's conclusion and I think I love this series even more than the original Vampire Academy series. This audio series is great and although sometimes some of the voices used sound a bit stupid the story outshines everything. I can't wait to get my hands on The Fiery Heart.
