Living Dead in Dallas (Sookie Stackhouse #2)

Living Dead in Dallas - Charlaine Harris

I really liked this book, however i didn't find it as good as the first.

It follows Sookie, a telepath, who along with her vampire boyfriend Bill is taken to Dallas to use her talents to find a missing vampire. The Fellowship of the Sun, the vampire-hating church comes into play and a lot of action goes down.

I really loved Sookie so much more in this book. She is definitely not your typical heroine just waiting around for the male characters to save her. She totally takes control of ever sticky situation she finds herself in, and you can clearly see her individual personality not just an accessory of the guy like so many other books have.
Bill really started to annoy me in this book, he is so possessive and treats Sookie as a possession he has rather than his girlfriend who he is in love with.

I really didn't like this one as much as the first, i think because i saw the second series of the TV show first and i really couldn't help comparing the two, and that kind of took my focus away from the book a little bit and made me enjoy it a little less.
However, i still find that this book was absolutely amazing and i can't wait to find out where this series will lead to.
